I would say Il Procopio is really one or the best ice-cream parlour you can find in Florence! I went there several times and was never disappointed with the taste and quality of their flavours and cone, neither was I with the staff’s professional kindness. :))

My friend and I just traveled abroad to Italy and recently visited Florence. One of the best finds on our trip and it’s now “our gelato place”!!
We had the medium cone which you can choose up to three flavors. Ice cream was delicious! Really recommended!
This geleteria was the closest to our place, good, chunky, creamy, during the 6 days this was the gelato we compared all of the rest to... finally it came out as 2nd best. :)
Their Lime and Basil flavor is to die for! Also, do try out their award winning flavor IL Procopio, it has actual nut pieces and dry fruits in it, so rich and flavorful.

The thing to get here, tho', is the fun stuff - you'll find all sorts of interesting combinations, and, this is the interesting part, they've all got the "gelato" part down pat! The right consistency, temperature, ingredients, etc. - nothing here to make you feel like you're having something out of a supermarket!One of the best gelatos we had on our trip to Italy. Oh my god, the pistachio gelato... it's salty and creamy and perfect.
Pistachio+Procopio+chocolate with orange Pistachio is superb! Love all the crunchy chunks inside.

Amazing gelato! I've been to numerous gelaterias in Florence, and this is one of my favorites. Also not very expensive (€2.80 for 2 flavors), and they give you a punch card so you can eventually earn a free gelato!
Some of the best ice cream we've had on our travels to Italy (probably 9th or 10th trip). Can really taste the flavours without being overwhelmed by creme/sugar taste. Took 3 flavours: the award winning Il Procopio (candied orange, almond and pistachio; all whole ingredients in the mixture), lemon and basil, stracciatella. All so good. Worth the extra walk away from the centre.
